 ;)Just thought I would let you guys know the result of my efforts to remedy the problem with F.C.bit the bullet and removed the ignition switch ,took the switch apart and on the run position there was a black burn mark similar to what you would see on a bad set of points ,cleaned this with some fine emery paper ,replaced switch and road test proved perfect ,no more missing ,thanks to you guys for your suggestions,you were right on the ball ! cheers  Steve .
