Shocked  I've been stirred up today by a NOS reverse lamp kit that sold on ebay.   :-/

Does anybody have available a reverse lamp "paddle" switch that fits onto the lower end of the steering column and is actuated by the gear linkages?

Willing to pay a reasonable price for one that works.

Either pm me or reply here, please.

Hi Martin,
Don't be too disappointed that you missed out on the one on Ebay, there didn't appear to be a mounting bracket for the switch in the photo.
If you are just after a paddle switch i've got a couple Wink

BE CAREFUL
The FE/ FC switch is different to FB to HR
The FE/FC switch mounts under the 2 bolts which hold the shift linkage on, whilst the later one screws to the column with 4 self tappers.
Also there are 2 types of FE and FC ones  - early is a completely metal "paddle" for want of a better word and a later one which is plastic like the FB to HR item.
Unsure whether the change is actually at the change from FE to FC as the nature of accessories is that it could be bought at any time and fitted to an earlier car.
FE and FC reverse light switches are prety rare to find and will attract a higher price than later ones

If anyone finds they have the later Ek type mentioned by Ken, I would be interested for the auto wagon!

Hi earlyholdenfan,
Your EK auto wagon already has the reverse light switch incorporated in the auto inhibitor switch. Smiley
All you need is some wiring, globe sockets and globes. Wink

That's not bad - the ebay sale a few days ago had NOS FB-HR kit (switch, wiring, globe sockets & fitting instructions) and it sold for about $180-.  Slightly higher price!

Ken, it appears the FE.FC switch sits on a plate that's mounted on the column.  Do you have a mounting plate?

The switch does bolt onto a mounting plate, but the mounting plate is all part of the kit.  Usually when you find one piece the other bit is with it, if you know what I mean
