Hi Rubble,
Why would you want to put a cable clutch in a FE/FC when a hydraulic system works so well.
I've had to repair a lot of cracked firewalls on modern cars with clutch cables.
Just my thoughts Wink

Hi Guys.

I agree with Ace, you can't go past hydraulic clutch operation.

If you have a pull-cable type Aussie 4-sp bellhousing, throw it away & use the earlier HK-HX type, use the Dellow slave cylinder bracket & all the original FE/FC stuff will bolt straight on.

Hi Ace, are you coming up for the All Holden Day.

Cheers.

Dr Terry.

Hi Rubble
I once set up a cable clutch in an FX with aussie 4-speed and XU-1 engine, while it worked ok as I braced the firewall pretty substanially before I fitted it, it really wasn't worth the effort and all of my  Holden modifications from then on have been Hydraulic clutch, including replacing LH V8 Torana cable clutches with a hydraulic system which was much better in that compact engine bay. Stay with hydraulics
Cheers
