Hey Stinky,

Its Sunday night and all I have from this post is a bunch of "Kiwi Dribble".

I was hoping to keep Sarge moving on "Hilda".

If you were able to find a section in reasonable condition to satisfy the request, I'm sure I could compensate you accordingly!

Whaddyathink?

Here's some pics, let me know if it's OK, a bit rusty but more salvagable than what's already there, I think.
If you want it, let me know when. Bus Freight should get it up there for a reasonable price.

Hey Stinky,

Thanks heaps for the photos. I think ur right, it does look a hell of a lot more salvagable than "Hilda's"

Just waiting for Sarge to long on and have a look. I have sent him a text message asking him to jump on and check out the pics. Shouldn't be too long.

Thanks again

Emu,

Without wanting to be critical, if you blasted the ones Stinky has, they will end up looking pretty close to your own.

The section isn't that hard to fabricate, as it does not have to look exactly as per original to function.

The other problem is that even the most rust free cars I've seen, like my wagon, still need work in that section, so the liklehood of finding one to cut up in a short time frame may be unlikely.

Is it possible to remove a guard off "Harvey" use for templates of the area?

Just ideas, but I've repaired the section myself, taking it piece by piece, with a high degree of success, and I am a rank amateur when it comes to welding!

(Today A pillar repairs, tomorrow the world!)

Regards

Edward

Ed,

Its a very good point u make. After talking with Sarge, "We Concur". I'm going to grab an outer sill and he'll make up the inner and "A" pillar bit.
He's a   legend with the welding and we were just trying to save a bit of time. What u said about even the best section requiring "some" work is true.

Stinky,
Thanks heaps for the offer. Your a legend too!

I'll post the pics of the progress under "Hilda's Extreme Makover"
