Hi All,

Hilda's cancer treatment is in full swing! Sarge has jumped on board and has rekindled his welding skills. Car is progressing slowly but steadily.  Smiley

Exploratory Surgery has revealed severe invasive rust in the bottom of the passenger side A pillar. So..... what Sarge needs is the bottom of the A pillar and inner and outer sills going back about six inches. I think the whole bit could be cut out of a donor vehicle in one piece.

Anyone handy with an angle grinder with an FC (Wagon) shell in the backyard? Huh

I'm not sure if the wagon bit is an issue.

Emu - Bird praying for help.

Hi Emu,

"A" pillar on wagon and sedan surely will be the same. If you can't get a good second hand one Rares sell inner and outer sills, and I just made the lower part of the pillar (where it bolts to the front subframe) using cardboard templates as a guide and a few swear words. Turned out OK in the end and looks fairly close to factory.

Good Luck,

Craig.

Thanks Craig,

Yeah.. that's the fall back position.

Here's a pic of the bit I need for any who may have a shell lying around. The other side is salvagable apparently but this side is gooooooorrrne!

EMU

I need from just above the hinge in picture to just right of the last rust spot.

And this is the Kiwi who just asked today if he could stay at our place for a couple of days in August!! Shocked

U r welcome dude but u betta sleep with one eye open. I don't think that the things Sarah has planned r physically possible but it should be amusing to watch!

Emu - Bird bemused at the stupidity of the Kiwi.

He was panicking Rus,

He had posted a modified pic of Sarah which had appeared before and caused some grief. I thought he'd learnt.

If you get stuck, give me a yell and I will see what I have between the two sedan shells out the back.
