Hey everyone.  I was just looking at the sydney morning herald website and i saw this article http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/05/07/1083911408938.html

Looks like they are going to be starting a drive in at olympic site at homebush.  There won't be any of the old boxes, replaced by fm radio frquency, but the waitresses will be dressed in "1950s hot pink tops, black mini skirts and stilettos." Sounds like all they need are some period cars, now where could you get those?  Grin Grin

I reckon it would be one hell of a destination to end a run at!!

Oh on the topic i was at the drive in last week and saw an awesome looking chopped yellow with flame pattern american?? classic car (i didn't get a chance to ask what it was).  Sure beat the hell out of all of those crx's and civics!!!

Oh it will only be running for 3 months unless they find a business partner!!

Sounds like a club drive-in run is in order.

The other thing that i forgot to mention is that i think they play older movies.  It mentioned them showing saturday night fever on the opening night but i don't know if this was just for opening or a regular thing.

FWIW the NSW Club had a call from Syd Oympic Park regarding this, hoping to organise an event with a bunch of old Holdens.  I'll be following it up today, and will post whatever comes of it.

cheers
