gearbox questions

Hi,i have an FC ute with 179HP and 4 speed Opel box ,does anyone have an Opel box lying around for spare ,? or know what other box will bolt up with same tailshaft spline and front mainshaft spline if any?.
spoke to guy i got ute from and he reckons its the same as aussie 3 and 4 speed boxes in spline,but im not sure if he's correct./////////by the way,its the opel with alloy bottom plate which from memory is weeker than the tin plate one's,doe's anyone else remember which was the better box?
