Well Guys,

Obviously things have slowed at Hildaville just a little. Sarge, Kev and myself have been occupied with our "Real" lives over the Chrissie period. Sarge is flat out at his "second job" but should be back on board soon. (When he gets his priorities sorted out! Grin .........something about feeding his kids and paying bills or something  Wink )

I wanted to post a couple of pics of the things I mentioned last post. This one is my NOS Ebay Hoodlining. I still get excited just looking at this pic. What a great score!! I shooda cleaned off the dust in these fotes to give a better reflection of Hilda.

Emu,

That is an awesome score. Now I know I can't put my original one back in my project.

Let me know if you hear of another. The last one that came up was a grey one, but I need an off-white like yours.

Hilda is looking great, well done.

Regards

Edward

Mrs. Streetneat's sedan has had a non original replacement headlining fitted but the material appears to look very similar to the original - the best i have seen anyway, and IMHO much better than a damaged old one or plain vinyl type.

text says material was supplied by Gary at Eastern Auto Upholstery in Victoria.

Yeah Craig,

That's the best repro I have seen. There was another NOS one on Ebay shortly after I picked up mine. "cajerridoc" who frequents this site picked it up I believe.

Here's a shot of the side panels in the cargo bay I had made as well as the vinyl over the wheel arches.

That dust is really annoying me! I'm going to be using rubber mats in the back here.

Emu,

Don't worry about the dust. When you're finished a quick trip outside with a soft paint brush, some rags, and an air blower and all will be OK.

Looks really good though - except for the dust  Wink

Cheers,

Craig.

Hmmm seems some one has been looking at the wifes car - we got nearly no response from this site except for one from Emu.....
The hoodlining is from Eastern Auto Upholstery in Bayswater Vic. ASk for Gary and tell 'em streetneat sent ya.
The hoodlining is only available in this one style and colour - although not identical to the original - its along the same style. Its very expensive - enough material to do this car was about $400 worth......then you have to get it made up and fitted. The trimmers did a splendid job and bitched a bit about the material - apparantly not easy to work with. Its from the UK and I'm not sure how much Gary has.
Thanks Craig A for the credits. We have no problem with the use of any of our pics for what ever purpose as long as People do as Craig has and attribute the credits for where the pics came from.

You're a Legend Sarge!

The chrome guy is scaring me a bit. He's got thousands of bucks worth of FC and EH shiny bits I'm waiting on. Always got a story about his delays.....

Mmmmm come to think of it .......... some of the stuff trading on Ebay lately looks remarkably similar to my chrome work  Shocked

She's Home!!  Grin

Sarge drove Hilda up the driveway last night after replacing the clutch master and finishing off a couple of bits n pieces. She arrived in all her glory and I was grinning like I did on my wedding night!

Following are a couple of fotes if "Starphoto" co-operates.

Enjoy - I certainly am

This photo will show a couple of the bits that are still incomplete. The "Station Sedan" badges and the rear "Holden" badge.

That leads me on to the story of my chrome......... but I may save that for when I have more time as it is a long story.

Soooo... U thought Sarge specialised only in metal work.

Wrong. He did OK with the dovetail joints at school too. So he whipped up some new boards for the spare cover.
