It is a shame you feel that way "Snowy". (It is also a shame that you had to post as a "guest". If you have an opinion, stand up  & be heard. Posting as a guest gives you no credibility.

I also take exception to the statement that the "Offenders" were blugeoned off the site. I am one of the worst offenders for banter, & I have never felt I have been "Blugeoned" annywhere. Get over it.

Go easy, Trev.
I have the biggest smile there is. But, I do not think it was a tastful joke, if that is what it was meant to be. No one "Bludgeoned" anyone off the site, so it isn't really funny.
I like a joke, just as much as the next fella. But I think leaving that poll, & not using their real username was a bit of a bad taste jibe.

If you're wondering, I deleted the poll.  Let's move on, not fan the flames of this particular unfortunate episode.

Very interesting, the results of that poll.  Of the 'bludgeoned' responses, only one was from a registered user.  Every other one was from an anonymous user.  And conversely, all but one 'light-hearted' response was from a registered user.

Goes to show, doesn't it?  Six months ago or more I broached the subject of restricting ability to post to registered users only (after the last all-in brawl, if you recall).  Guests would only be able to read, not reply, except in the For Sale section.

Consensus was against it, but I still think it's a good idea.  If you want to add something to this forum, you should be accountable for it, not hide behind some bodgy@email.address...
