Noticed a build up of pressure in the petrol tank recently, even worse on a hot day.
40 degrees today and the tank was leaking! enough pressure to force hand back when opening!
Any ideas/fixes.

you have a kinked or blocked breather tube, cant remember where abouts it is exactly but have a close look around tank and you will find it.

Hi Utey,

I am pretty sure that you should be using a vented fuel cap !
Might be wrong but it would fix the problem.

I have a vented cap on my car and have no prob's.

Off the rack at most car part shops is part no SL15.
(Locking cap)

Hi Utey,
There is no breather on the fuel tank, the vented cap is the breather, if this problem has just developed i'd be having a good look at the cap to make sure the vent hole is not gummed up. Wink

Just checked the cap, no obvious "hole", is just a small hole or something more sophisticated that I need to look for.
Thanks

Fit a new fuel cap, you have a faulty or blocked vent valve in the cap.
