Went out to check out qualifying for the Summer Nationals at the newly opened WSID today. Only chance I could get as I am working all weekend, but wasn't going to miss it. Boy was it HOT.....I got burnt.
Here are some pics. When I get time, I will load up lots more to a photoalbum.
Regards
Alex

Last pic for now.
This Monaro Doorslammer hit the wall and crossed the track and hit the wall at about mid track, bounced across the track and hit the other wall again before coming to a halt. The 3rd hit happened right in front of us. Here's a few pics. The top pic is after it hit the second wall, the bottom shows the car coming to a halt. The driver was OK, but did need medical attention. This guys wife put his other Monaro into the wall at Willowbank on the last outing.
Regards
Alex

Great shots Alex. Made me real jealous cause I couldn't be out there. I just can't wait to hear and FEEL those top fuellers again.

All credit to Jim Reid and his team, they fought hard to get this thing up and running - must be very satisfying for them to see it operating.

MORE PHOTOS!!!

Cheers,

Craig.
