ever been driving along , peacefully changing into top when suddenly the large spring taking up the slack in the clutch pedal parts company with the place it has lived for 45 years and smacks you in the roger smalls.

My problem now is not the squeaky voice but i need another spring , of good quality,to avoid another occurrance.

I have a temporary fix in place but would like to maintain the originallity of my FC Van.

I reside in Cairns.Where old Holdens holiday.!

I've hearding of clutching yourself, but that's ridiculous!  I bet it smarted  Lips sealed

I'm sure one of the usual suspects will be able to help you out with one of those.

cheers

 ;)G Day Horrie.
If you go to Bunnings or a good hardware store you will find a variety of springs. Dont get the bright zinc coated ones but the dark coloured hi tensile steel  for your clutch. You should have no problems. Wink

ACE, have you got an original clutch slave cylinder return spring that mounts off the clutch fork !!
I am using a different one that does the job but would like the original style if you can
