I am considering selling my 59 FC, which is has the following HR Disc Front End, M20 4 speed, Hr Diff, lowered 2 inches, 15x7 Dragway mags with brand new tyres, Custom interior, heavy duty radiator, thermo fan, VH 44 Booster. Current Engine is a 179 HP with stage 3 head, 350 Holly, extractors, xu-1 Cam, solid lifters ,waggot rockers, balanced, shot peened starfire rods, competition cam gear set (not straight cut). If I sell with this motor I want $4900.00. If I fit a standard 173 engine that I have then I will sell for $3000.00. The car is basically straight but has some rust and needs paint. It needs inner front sill outer sill on the left side and the two left doors are not good, but I have too good doors with it and another bonnet. Chrome is all straight and good except bumpers which need rechroming. I was going to build this up as a project, but another project and lack of space means something has to go, either this one or my driver FC, this one is the easiest option. Car is located in Mount Gambier SA.
Cheers

Hi
I am interested in your FC, I live not too far from Mt.Gambier. Do you have any more pictures of it. Is the price negotiable. Is it the car that was stored in Blockies shed a couple of weeks ago.

Hi Alex
I have attached a pic of the interior of the car, it was the one stored out at Blockies, so you have already seen it I presume. There are a few other guys chasing it at present and a couple are interested in my other FC, so it will be a matter of who comes up with the appropriate money for whichever vehicle first as I will only sell one. The price is negotiable and depending on whether you want the hot engine or the standard engine, it can vary a lot.

Cool it is the one was at Blockies, I would definately want it with the hot engine, man that sounded so sweet. I will go see my bank on Monday and see whether I can get the money. The other FC you got, is that the Burgundy and Silver one that was in the Street Machiners show, if so what do you want for it, if it's not over $11,000 I might be able to get it instead.
Thanks

Ok Alex see how you go, as I said it will be the first with the money as I have another project that I want to get stuck into. The other FC is the one that was at the Street Mchine Show and it is $9000.00, but to sell it is not my preferred option so that price is not negotiable.

You only want $9,000 for the Burgundy car, man I will be at the banks doors on Monday, if I can get the money you can consider it sold

Hi Alex
I think before you go hammering on the banks doors, you should come and check out the cars if you live near Mt. Gambier. I think that the Bank would probably require detail of whichever vehicle you want to buy. Not trying to put you off the Burgundy and Silver car is a good car but it has been on the road and driven for nearly 8 years, so it has some minor faults that need attention soon and I want you to be aware of them before you make any committment.

Hi,

Whats the running gear in the burgandy FC and what problems do you think need some attention?

I will be Adelaide in about three weeks wouldn't mind a run to Mt Gambier to have a gander..

Thanks

Hi Dean
The Burgundy FC has a 186 motor, bored to 192, fitted with a mildly modified head, hypereutectic pistons, balanced, mild camshaft and X2 Carby's. The engine has done about 2400 miles since it was fittedI don't have the X2 headers currently fitted because I was going to remove the 4 speed and fit a Trimatic which would have required different front pipes, it currently has a standard manifold. The problems that the car currently has are a leaking right rear axle seal, which has made the handbrake somewhat innefficient, the clutch spigot bush is noisy (needs relubricating) when cold and there is a pin hole in the VH44 booster diaphram which causes the engine to run rough when the brakes are applied. The body work has a couple of paint chips on the front gaurds and a small dent in the lower grill bar (which is repairable). I will repair the rear axle sea and handbrake if I sell the car

Yes that is definately the car that I saw at the Show, the mechanical problems don't seem too major to me and I had a good look at it at the show, I didn't see any chips on the gaurds or anything. I suppose I should come and take a look. Will you take a deposit on it?

Hi Alex
If you want to come and take a look send me a personal email or ring me at work 0887231427. In this case I will not take a deposit, it will be first with the money gets whichever car sells first.

Hi All
At this stage Alex desperately wants either car, but is financially overcommitted and cannot get any more loans, he is trying to sell his car, but at this stage both cars are still up for grabs and will continue to be until one sells or the project car I am chasing gets sold.
Cheers

Hello, I am very interested in one or maybe both of your cars. I live in Mildura in North West Victoria, I have been looking for a good FC or a good project for a while. I love your burgundy and silver car, but the maroon and silver project car looks like it would do up well too.
Would the burgundy car be refisterable in Victoria (with the little jobs that you mentioned fixed.
Excuse my ignorance but how far from Mildura is Mount Gambier.
Thank You

Hi Fanto
Thanks for your enquiry, only one of the cars will be sold, the Burgundy car has full SA rego and I assume with the handbrake and axle seal leak repaired it would have no trouble getting Vic rego. The other car was previously registered in NSW and once refurbished should also pass ok.
Mildura is about 700 km from Mount Gambier, either car would drive that distance ok, but the one in need of refurbishing would have to be driven on a permit.
Cheers

The Project Car I was chasing has been sold so at this stage both cars are withdrawn from sale and work will continue on both.
