I  dont much like the look of the fuel filling nozzle on the wagon and  am toying with the idea of welding  in a cable opperated, or key operated cover. Something to make that area look a bit smoother.
Anyone know  what model doner cover to look for, and any techniques for fitting?  Your information would be appreciated.

I dont know much about a wagon, but here's an idea of whats involved with a VP commodore filler/cover in a sedan.

geez that looks scarey!there was a thread on here a while back where someone was after a filler cover off a mitsi colt for the same mod...they are fitted on the left side also,so they are hinged on the correct side
                             cheers trev

Hi,

Yes  trev that was me RE: Mitsu colt, an idea that would still work.

I have since used a combination of modified Commdore fuel door and standard guard.

Cheers

Here are some pics of the fuel door.... As simple as it looks, there was hours of thinking in it.

Some of "the rest" is going into primer this weekend should the weather be ok.
