Vern I think most use Nitto tape, available at Jcar. From recollection John 59 Wagon has spun a pair on the lathe for his FB project. Cheers Clay

Vern,
Rare Spares has a bulb socket with wires and shroud. I bought two of them for the shroud when I was putting my FC together. It's a bit of a push getting the shroud through the hole in the front guard, so if you are in the "pre-paint" stage, enlarge the hole a little to suit the replacement shroud.

Vern,
What Rare Spares sells is a universal tail/stop lamp socket with short lengths of wire and the shroud. You could probably get the same at Bursons/Repco/Super-Cheap/Auto One. Buy the entire thing, remove the shroud, slip the shroud over your front indicator wiring (you'll probably have to unsolder the wires from the Holden socket and re-solder after slipping the wires through the shroud) and install.

WOW! John ..manufacturing your own ,they look factory , firstly thanks for finding and posting what you did,I may well attempt the same ,I was thinking of a mould and making out of silicone or butyl mastic , going to turn a mould out of nylon or poly prop ,and a insert ,then trim the spew off when set ,I will not make it a priority ,keep going with other more straight forward stuff ,and come back to it when I need something to do ..thanks again ..Vern.. I am also following up on Robs suggestion..

Rob and gents ..Rare spares product with the rubber shroud is stock item X2460 .as Rob suggested it looks like its general purpose ,so just for the rubber bit .However ,currently out of stock .no answer when likely to be back in stock ,if at all , no answer " can you supply shroud only from the holder manufacturer" ...Vern.
