Hi Ray, thanks for your reply - the FB EK control arm has a different part number to the FE FC, and the bump stop is quite different, otherwise I don't know what the differences are, maybe someone can chip in here? Cheers, Frazd

The major difference between FE FC and FB EK upper wishbone is the diameter of the upper pivot bolt in the kingpin. They are not interchangeable

Ken,
Now I'm stumped. I thought that the one upper outer pivot kit fitted all king-pin front suspensions. Is there one type for FX-FC and another for FB-HD?

Hi Rob ..If you are hunting around for parts ,in the 1984 Repco catalogue ,under DUFOR suspension section "knuckle supports" ..56-59 FE-FC all models part number is SX17 for upper and SX18 for lower ..king pin set KX17 ( not reamed ) KX17R is a reamed set .Upper inner control set is SX1037A .. Knuckle support kits for FB to EH ( with 1.3/4'' brakes is SX71 ( note 71 not 17 ) lower is same SX18 ..Just in case you come across some new old parts ,numbers always help .. Vern ..

I found out the hard way as well FB on have a thicker diameter outer pin and bush. Having said that you can interchange the arms, you just need to know which model so you get the right pin and bush as the inners are the same. Jim

I forgot to mention that while the pin and bush are larger diameter, the outside diameter of the bush is the same. Thus both size bushes will fit the kingpin end. Jim

I'm finding all this very interesting but I still don't have an upper control arm - surely there is one out there somewhere? Fraze
