Two tone paint

Just after some help on painting my two tone on my FB Holden, I am painting it cream with a burgundy insert were the chrome is on the sides but I'm unsure of how the door jambs are finished, does the paint follow through the jamb or do you just pick one of the colours and go with that, I'm very confused but want it to loo, right so any help would be appreciated cheers frankiej.
