Well said Leon.
It was a fantastic AHD with much credit going to the NSW AHD committee. I don't know the exact crowd figures, but I would guess over 8 000 people attended the event??
Here's a picture of the FE FC Holden Car Club Stand at the todays show.
Thanks to all the guys and girls from our club who made such an effort. We had 24 cars on our stand, including a couple of invitees, an FC Business Sedan, and a 45 000 mile 1958 FC Sedan.
Cheers,
Craig.

I would like to say I agree that it was a great day. Congrats to the FE guys mentioned above, and also to all the club members who participated and helped bring home the silverware. Here is a pic of the interior of that beaut 217. This car has been on the scene for a fair while now. I remember seeing it at the AHD in 1990, with stock wheels. Regards Alex

Graham,
This is why you need Coolaride cushions - so your balls don't get frozen to those Elascofab seats!!!
I should have noted this in my earlier post, but the following people recieved Sponsor Choice trophies:
Graham Fuller - Stock FE Wayne Skuse - Stock FE (WELL DONE WAYNE!!!!!!!) Alfio Musemeci - Stock FE
Derek Hinde - Stock FE from our friends at the SSHCC was part of our display and also recieved a trophy. Along with the Club getting 3rd place in the Best Club display category All in all I'd reckon it was a good day out.
Thanks especially to Wayne and Graham who represented the Club very well as part of the AHD Committee.
Well done guys.
Thanks,
Craig.

What a great shot of jonesys ugly mug in the first shot. He changed shape one more time and I gave his hat a redheads flame job Congradulations guys on the wins and sorry I didnt catch up with you all. My highlight was a brake failure fully laden with trailer in tow on the way home - very very close call with a tupperware container but did manage to pull it up in front of Supercheap

Hey Harko. It must have been the day for brake probs. I got just outside of Windsor on the way home when my booster stopped working. Interesting couple of seconds trying to stop behind a woman whilst going through realisation that no matter how hard I was pressing that peddle, I was barely slowing. Time to use both feet. Cruised home the rest of the way with plenty of distance given to the cars in front. Glad you got home safely. Regards Alex

It was a great day. Wish I'd got to look at more cars, but you can't have everything :-/ I greatly enjoyed meeting Don Loffler at last, and we made quite a tidy sum out of the book sales for the club.
For those who don't know what this book discussion is all about, we were offered the opportunity of taking several boxes of Don's recent books on consignment to sell on the day. He was available for several hours to autograph the copies we sold, and the profits from the sale of the books would be kept by our club.
Anyway, we sold the majority of them, so once the figures are tallied we should know how much money the club made. Of the balance, we elected to keep 5 signed copies of each book to sell to members (or anyone else who'd like them). They'll be available at our August meeting. The titles are: Autographed copy of "The FJ Holden" $47.00ea (rrp is $50) Autographed copy of "Still Holden Together" $37.00 (rrp is $40)
If there are any left after the August meeting we might offer them for sale on the site here.
cheers RET

Congratulations to all the guys for their wins they were very much deserved. Grahams display was especially worthy of mention. A great deal of thought and effort went into the display with the "new star" motto. Well done. Regards Kev..

Is anyone interested in sharing some pictures of the lesser cars (Not FE FC) on display ? I heard there was a great candy apple red FC in the swap area with a bunch of drunks sitting in the boot too . Did anyone get a photo of the Harko replica, Chopped EK Ute with awesome flames up the side now.

Ah but the race has already been won and retired, How did I get pictures of my Ute at the all Holden day without using photoshop - trick question with a simple answer "I drove it there" and a hell of a lot of other places too. At the summernats we were introduced and I quote "Man ,Thats exactly how I wanted to do my ute" But I had actualy rushed mine to get there and it wasnt my plan at all to have flames n stuff. So when he finished his its pretty bloody close to what I had in mind ,IRONIC but you cant win em all and you cant build 4 in the time frame of 1 . (Harko rertires unbeaten).
