 Huh
Does the EJ/EH kit from Rares also suit an FC with standard drums?
The local outlet isn't 100% sure about the length of the pins.

I would think they are too long. EH brakes shoes are wider than FC.

Thanks Ken. Do you know who may sell them? Have lost the pins & springs from one rear drum.

I think brake shops have stocks of new ones (well Hoppers Stoppers did) take one of your originals in and see if you have any luck.
Good second hand ones should be easy to get. I'm sure I have plenty.

Thanks. The car's a few hours away but I'll give some local brake outlets a go tomorrow.

I am sure I saw them listed as a new item in the rares catalogue.
Also sold as the kit as per the EH example.

Can see the HK-WB sets. Maybe they are the correct length.

The FC pins are 48mm and the EH pins are 51 mm so there is not much in it. With new springs, there might be enough tension on the  shoes to hold them in place, that is unless you can get the FC kit.

Thanks Jim, that's a lot closer than I thought. I see where the idea of using washers as packers came from.
I followed up on the link posted by 'collecta' below & found this SA based eBay shop very helpful & very reasonable with prices compared to others.
I was able to order the odd bits & pieces I'm missing without buying several full kits. I notice that the price of rubber grommets varies considerably, but in fairness I haven't compared any for fit yet.

That was the seller. I ended up with one of the kits & some other misc bits & pieces that completed the list I needed to fill.

Good to hear Dave, I have been using these guys for ages and it helps that they're just around the corner. One of those old companies that have been around for ever, they have employee honour boards with employees having worked 25yrs or more.
cheers

Thanks again for the tip Scott.
Can't beat these long lasting establishments that still value their staff & provide good old fashioned service.
