anyone got an idea on getting the chrome done on the internal sun visor brackets
l have a heap of fb ek visors but they seem to be different to fc
you can remove fb ek brackets with the screw on the side but fc seem to be one piece rod and all
do you have to remove the whole rod to have it chromed

    thanks greg

I pulled mine apart just grind the weld off the round rod watch you do not lose the spring.
you will need to weld it back together when you have rechromed.
highlly advise tigging it so you dont get spatter on the new chrome.

jim
they are fb ek brackets  on ebay
when l looked at mine the rod that runs into the visor itself has a  right angle bent at the bracket end
which then runs through the chrome bracket
unlike the fb ek ones there no screw to take it apart
the ones on ebay  look to be fb ek
maybe ken could shed some light on what model  the brackets were changed

  thanks greg

They generally don't need re-chroming, I have found they all come up good after a quick buff on the bench grinder with a polishing mop.

Agree, I am sure I have a pair in my garage with excellent chrome.
