I am desperately trying to locate a rear window rubber for my fe business sedan. No chrome dressings.  Can any one tell me where I can purchase one. Would consider a good second hand one. With thanks. Mickrat tassy.

G'day Mickrat,  Rares should have them, so try them first.  I got most of my rubbers from a place called betta auto rubber in qld - good fit, good service and the people were great to deal with. Cheers, Graeme

mickrat, can you give Bob Pyz a ring at Rare Spares head office (93054000). He had a long length of the standard rubber he was able to cut off and then join at the bottom centre to make a rear screen rubber. There are no moulded corners on the rear. This is how I did the rear screen rubber on my 217.
Tell him that you have been referred by me.
Not sure whether any more rubber exists but it is worth a try.

Bob was very helpful with my problems too, so definitely give him a try.

Isn't the 217 rubber the same as a 215?  This might explain the confusion with the supplier saying they don't stock the item as the would call it a 'standard' sedan rubber........

These are no longer available, but I have discussed the issue with Bob at Rare Spares and the club is considering the cost of having these produced. Without wanting to give false hope, the project seems to be very positive at this stage. Cost for the seal will probably be similar to a special seal but only available through the Vic FE FC club.

A lead time of about 3 to 4 months will be needed to complete the process.

Sounds great Ken. My standard FC is in need of a new standard rear rubber.

We have had success getting this rubber made but after checking with Rares again today, I was disappointed to learn that delivery to us will be delayed because they missed the shipment. New date is September.  Cry
I'm sorry that it is taking so long but we have had difficulty getting correct delivery dates from Rare Spares.

I promise that as soon as we get these I will be posting on the forum with pictures and prices Shocked
