Got an old mate up here who My soul Joe pretty good condition.He's been having some issues with trying to find someone to fix his rRear brakes He has been a couple of guys in town Who have Tried putting spaces in but not really been too successful.
Just wondering if anybody out there has another set of FJ rear drums.
Any help or leads appreciated thanks

I just helped my mate with his where are they putting the spacers ? whats happening?

 Hey Pete How are you going.
Just an old bloke that lives around the corner and I've sort of befriended him as he liked the FC and was wanting to change for the running gear over to FC.
I haven't had a look at what the brake guys up here have done but I will  when I get a chance.
He says he had two guys look at and now the drums are locking up when he goes for a drive. Its a beautiful FJ special.

Locking up id say they have the primary and secondary shoes arse about.

Its not rocket science

 small shoe should be on the front.

My older brother was a FX FJ fanatic back in the 70's and I believe the Qld club anniversary is coming up this year . I was an associate member as I drove an FE . Anyway to the point .I think he would want to use FE front hubs and brakes on the old girl as this was the conversion back in the day. They have smaller stubs that are the same as FJ and then you change the rear axils and run a set of 14" HK HT HG mags, or as my brother did a set of 15" from the U.S.  As for the brakes , There are too many variables here . Check the shoes ,check the drums and then check the lines to make sure they flow properly as flex lines can swell inside and block and steel can rust not allowing fluid to return quickly enough .
