Parry, the VN discs fit OK on the stubs, it's the calipers which need a custom mounting bracket. Even if you use the HQ stubs, you will still need a bracket for the calipers. Commodore discs are slightly smaller in diameter, thinner and have a different offset. Ken

Adapters are readily avail from v6conversions and are relatively cheap

We used to make them to fit the drum brake stubs so as to have the large bolt hole at the top as the other mounting point .Cheers Haydn

My 2cents worth on this subject. Just remember if you use the drum brake stub axles you have to machine down the top mounting hole spigget so that the adapter plate 1 sits in the same plane as the lower steering arm mounting holes and 2 by doing this it should line up the caliper with the disc. I have gone this way with my EK ute and it works great. My FC sedan runs HZ/WB stub axles and the girl ok aluminium caliper this also works great. Regards Neil H

I've got HG disc set up and have changed to commodore VN discs and callipers. The bracket Guru posted looks interesting will this effect your steering , what calliper do you recommend I have both VN & HG here was looking at putting a spacer in the HG callipers and putting them back on as there twin piston.
