It was a fantastic weekend of racing, and although we sustained some body damage to our car (but not as bad as some cars) from a huge windstorm at about 2 0'clock Sunday morning with about ten marquee carports and three and a half tonne of weights becoming missiles, we did come away with the silverware. 1st place Early Holden Regularity for the weekend of racing, very happy. Car went like a dream after some work done on it while Judi and I were away hollidaying for three months. Hats of to Ivan Tighe Cams for producing a  new cam to match our old damaged cam. Old cam sent by post - received- new cam posted back after three days. When I phoned Dean Tighe (to pay for it) I asked what was the grind as we didn't have any specs on the old one he said " the info is on the sheet with the cam, but I can tell you it is the wildest grind we have ever done for a grey motor!! Happpppy!!
The Baskerville historics is getting bigger and better every year, over 200 entries this year, over 30 interstate cars, international driver, Early Holden only regularity field of 34 and 9 interstaters in the field.

Well done weddo sounds like a great weekend.

Must be great to finish a weekend racing not only with the silverware but not having to rebuild an engine.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of Leo Geoghegan's Black FX racer with the unique nose cone is now.
I think it went to Tassie in 1960. I had the pleasure to see this car race several times.
I spoke to Leo several years ago regarding the whereabouts of his old car but he told me he had no idea where it was.
There was an article in a Sydney Newspaper which mentioned the car was going to a new owner in Tasmania. I can't locate my copy of the article but I copied it onto this Forum about 10 years ago.

Yes it's still here in tassy. The present owner has had the car for over 30 years. And won't part with it

Completely dismantled in a shed and has been for over thirty years. And definitely not for sale. Grey motor was discarded many years ago. My brother owned it for a while in the mid 70 s. When it was straight off the track. Hot grey motor. Eddie Thomas stage 3 head. Zephyer pistons. I remember the head being engraved. Eddie Thomas stage three very low with modified front spring towers to keep standard length springs.

That's great to think one day it may be in a museum or in a racing display and didn't end up scrap metal. A pity the grey is not there to go back in the car.

Leo Geoghegan passed away on 2nd March 2015 aged 78 due to prostrate cancer. There is a lot info on google.
