Hi guys
Whats changed ?
or what am I doing wrong Huh

just tried adding a reply with some pics to my Nats diary
when I hit PREVIEW or POST
I get a message saying this is forbidden and a Yahoo 7 page comes up and a message saying the page isn't available or I've timed out (or something?)

I was posting pics by photobucket as I always have
then tried by just adding pics to post

both had the same result

Sorry if I've broken the Forum RET  Roll Eyes

Hi Surferboy,
I had the same problem the other day.
Through trial and error I discovered that the picture file was to large.
Just try posting 1 picture at a time.
And if you did break the forum. Glad it was you and not me  Cheesy

Cheers Stewy   Cool

Yep, I have have the same issue with my Norman supercharger thread, which has lots of pictures. I usually cut the post up into chunks, with only a few photos per chunk. On a bad day, I paste the photos into MS-Paint and resave them... this lowers the resolution, and hence the file size.

The EJ/EH Holden forum has similar constraints, the FX/FJ and FB/EK forums less so.

Cheers,
Harv

Managed to do post with only a couple of pics in each separate reply
so I shortened my story
It's a bit of a pain and time consuming when I'm trying to do a long boring story in sequence with pictures
(thank god I have 4 hour lunch breaks  Grin)

I've not had this problem before  Huh

Hoping RET or one of the admin/gurus can make my life easier
(remembering of course that I understand computers as much as I understand mechanical car stuff  Roll Eyes)

Can you please clarify something for me? Is the problem related specifically to the images, or is it that the amount of text in the post is too long? (You should get a quite specific warning when that happens. I know, I've seen it Roll Eyes)

The reference to a Yahoo message is a new one on me though.

There is a setting on the forum that disallows images greater than 800px wide. It's normally set to avoid huge pictures stuffing up the layout of a thread.

I've disabled it for now, so can you see if the problem persists?

cheers
