Guys can somebody tell what size and thread the front guard bolts are that hold the guard to the A pillar I can't find mine and am about to put my guards back on hopefully for the last time. If I remember rightly I think mine were studs with a nut and washer but it has been a long time. Appreciate your help in advance.

From memory 1/4" unf with a 7/16" head, watch the length or they dent the guard if they go to far .Haydn

Thanks Hayden greatly appreciated. As I said I think when I pulled them off they had studs maybe somebody did that so it would not dint the guard???

Make sure you have the bolt holes water tight or water runs into the a pillar and eventually down to the front of the sill. Haydn

when I did the test fits for the wire loom on the front door, still had the original door rubber with the flap for the guard. Should be able to get thin rubber strips from Clark Rubber that will do the same job. Jim

Neil,
Just to clarify a bit more:
The FB-EK bolts are 1/4-UNF, but the thread form is tapered at the end (almost like a Taptite), and the head is 3/8 AF. The FE-FC bolts have a "normal" thread form, the head is 7/16 AF, and are shorter than the FB-EK equivalent.
When I fitted the front guards back to my FC, I used a flat washer and a lockwasher on the bolts, plus I cut out "washers" of rubber from an old bicycle inner-tube and coated the lot liberally with Butyl-mastic sealant. I didn't want it to leak.
If you're using the kit with the cup-washer and rubber seal, don't overtighten the bolts, as it becomes really difficult to remove the bolts later if the cup washer is deformed.
