John, thanks again for the lap around Eastern Creek in your excellent car on Sunday !!
Yes my car has the original interior which is red and black,it also has the original hood lining.
My car is all original except for the paint,I think someone tried to give it a " freshen up"
in the 70s and painted it its current colour,It definitely lets the car down in that respect.
The factory colour is Wangarra grey and Ascot grey.
I chose not to touch the body or paint at the time because of the time factor with Dad.
I just wanted to get it up and running and registered and enjoy it.
But the car does look good at 20/20, -that is at 20 metres away at 20 miles an hour !:)
Lets put it this way,I wouldnt want to park it next to yours!! Actually i wouldnt want to park it next to any
of the club cars !
But mission accomplished anyway, its up and running and registered.

Rich,

Park it anywhere you want, and next to anyone. The job's done and done well.

Rusty t is absolutely 100% correct . I've restored many original old cars [mostly old holdens] and modified even more. Some I had to modify out of necessity. I still enjoy a quiet look over any old survivor especially if they have been used for most or all of their life. With the knowledge that a lot of the repo parts now available were not in the late 60's early 70's and a lot of the mods just kept the old girls on the road. Just drive it and enjoy, like we did in the 60's 70's and 80's when nobody was noticing them. Cheers.

Hi Rich,

I wouldn't want to park it next to yours!! Actually i wouldn't want to park it next to any
of the club cars !
"I think you are being a little hard on yourself".

You can park your car next to mine all day every day with no problems at all.

From what I can remember your car interior & exterior is the same as what I had .
