Looking to fit an EH/EJ auto column to my FE (202/trimatic), what is the best way to shift gears? Linkages or a cable?

and what is a good original Holden wheel to fit as EH/EJ ones are either expensive or trash  Undecided would and FB/EK wheel fit?

As far as I understand it, EJ/EH and FB/EK both have the same spline on the steering wheel. Scotty has fitted an EJ/EH to his FB/EK column, though there is a difference in the space between the rim and honeypot (FB/EK wheel may bottom out):
