Hi all, I'm looking for some advice or opinions on which engine mounts I should use when fitting an ecotech V6 into my son's FC wagon. Should I go with the standard mount or modify some red motor mounts to suit? It has a HR front end with a rear mounted commodore rack if that makes any difference. Any advice or photos of existing conversions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards Ole.

Hi Ole,
I have a set here that are for the Ecotec V6 engine and they use red engine mounts. Pretty simple really. They are from V6 conversions.
Cheers

Just so its clear, there are two parts to it. The metal part from V6 conversions  bolts directly to your block after removing the engines originals. The Rubber mount part is not sold with the "block mounts" They are standard red 6 mounts and if your red mounts on the cross member are at the rear then these will bolt straight on no worries.

Do they fit

Huh???
The link to my build shows them on the engine in the car attached to the crossmember so I don't really understand what the question is.

It is not difficult to make your own engine mounts.Just get two drivers side v6 engine mounts and remove the engine plate section [the plate with the 5 holes].The plates will now fit either side of your v6[providing your not running air con.then its only a matter of bolting your red motor mounts to your hr frontend[mounts should be position to allow sump clearance]then drill and cut 8mm plate to attach engine plate to engine mount as well as a triangular gusset piece to weld between bolt holes to reinforce

There are a lot of problems that come out of V6 conversions for sure. THESE FIT as per my build thread. I also have the VS aircon compressor that V6 conversions uses with their Aircon bracket (mounted higher). I also have VS and VT Booster/master/pedal box's left over....

hsv-001,  Whilst you can make them up these are sitting here ready if anyone wants them.

Cheers
