I have a 202 red motor that has a different size oil filter than the standard Ryco Z30
it uses a Z37 which is smaller in diameter and has a different thread size ,
Can anybody explain why this would be Huh It all looks the same as any other red motor or am I missing
something ?

This is a puzzle,I checked online and this part no. is a jap engine application ,but remember starfire engine oil filter adaptor has a double sided thread flange that must be swapped before the unit is bolted to a standard red motor.Maybe this has something to do with the strange fitment.Small filters are great to use when running hydraulic lifters as the oil is picked up quicker.I personally run a wz160 cooper ,a very small filter.Cheers.
