The rule is 300mm past the last opening so pretty much has to go behind the back wheel if you wanna be legal.. Wink

i know ppl have them on their cars now is there any problems with em

are there any repos out there

or should i stick with dragways

im just bouncing a few ideas around n you guys have been there done that

Sammy,
When i got the idea to put lake pipes on i got the idea off a green fc on here from a member "grimbo" I then did my ol girl up in the class of a late 50's early 60's yank car!!!!   I ran big bubble spats with whitewall tyres etc which im going back to, hence selling the tasmans.  I kept the lakers on as they were a bitch to fit and didnt want them off at the time.  If u go into olkat rebuild you will see the look i had.  Jamie chisholm has my first set now on his fe which i bent up from exhaust!!!!  His fe is golden!!!!    Check his out on herev also.  I bought mine (bubble spats) of the late John katsanis who used them on his kustom FC which also ran dummy lake pipes.  When i first started showing my FC people had opinions, but then when i started taking it to rockabilly shows etc it was a massive hit.  Each to their own......   It now lives in a dark but dry shed as i wk in the mines wa.  Ids steer clear of trailer tasmans if i was you, specially if u gunna put them on ur pride and joy.    Good luck with the build mate!!!!!

Should be ok on a ute/van to have exit at the front of the rear w/arch,there just not user friendly on speed humps if they sit to low. Roll Eyes

Apologies if this appears to be hijacking your thread , but just a point of order if I may ...

Those wheels are NOT Tasmans ... they are ROH Rockets  ... produced by Rubery Owen Holdings (formerly Rubery Owen Kemsley) an Adelaide based company founded in 1946 ... ROH (formerly ROK) was also a leading supplier of steel rim bands to the majority of other Australian wheelworks ... as a result  , a number of mid 60's aftermarket or factory rims will feature either ROK or ROH stampings  , depending on their age , thus further clouding the ID process

Tasmans are acompletely different 5 spoke mag wheel produced by the Sydney based Tasman Wheel Company founded by John Scott in the late 60's .
