Hi guys i have been watching this forum for a while now, referring to it a lot and have finally registered.being new to the forum and thought id better post some pics of my latest beast and where its at.This car kind of landed in my lap,a guy from work bought it from sydney, drove it home, found some rust, wanted to fix it,stripped her down then...........nothing.It sat there in his shed for 4 years before he had enough,so i bought it.Im a panelbeater by trade and have always got a project on the go.

hope you like my pics (ificanfigureouthowtopostem)

got a left hand sill and started tinkering with the body

I had to fabricate rust sections for the lower guard, upper guard and the front nose of the guard(inner and outer)

had a pretty wild old repair on the left hand guard,so i ripped the nikky out and did it right

the left side of the tie bar/front rail was rooted

so after months of bodywork it was time to prime

then it was time for the door jams

then the dash was handed a 2k slap in the face. BOOM!

Looks like Betty has had a tummy tuck along with some other plastic surgery to remove some of the wrinkles.
Great progress.
Interesting colour combo, are they the original colours?
Good luck with the project.

Good progress.  The way you are going it shouldn't be too long before you get it back on the road.  Good to see another Indian Ivory and Black one.  Not too many of this colour combination.

hey guys got some more paintwork done, starting to take some shape

thanks for the comments,so now I'm in the market for a bench polisher to get the chrome up to scratch, autosol and elbow grease just isn't tickling Betty's (or my) fancy..

Graham -it was primed with octral 2 pak and I'm using debeer 2  pak for the refinishing,I've used debeer on most of my cars and it has never let me down, and the price is right Wink   cheers
