In the mid 80's I hadn't had an old Holden for about 10 years (since the FE) and decided on an FJ Ute ... I picked up one that had been rolled and was virtually written off ... but it had just been restored and still had lots of good bits ... I also located another with a good shell but no mechanicals ... the plan was to build one car from the best of each ... Here she is when I got her home ...  |

The good shell sandblasted and primed ... only needed minor bodywork repairs ... oh , and a new subframe ... couldn't salvage the on from the wreck ...  |

Fuel tank and engine in ... panels , doors and chromework fitted ... spare bonnets in the background .... why is it that it's almost impossible to match-fit FX or FJ bonnets with guards   |
