Guys,
I'm thinking of possibly going with buckets. I'll retrim whatever I get so I'm not worried about material or condition. Any suggestions on a relatively easy fit that looks the part? Don't want to go early holden as that's all getting very costly these days.
Pinky.

re trim commodore without head rests? Try outside the square VW, morris, chrysler if you want it to suit period wise.

Pinky,
I've sourced some '65 Mercedes 250SE buckets which are low back, fully adjustable & have nice chrome mechs on the side. They look a treat & I got mine of eBay for under $100 the pair, he also threw in the centre console (not much chop) & seat belts.
Might be worth a look.
Cheers Marc

Some great tips there guys. Thanks. I like the sound of the merc seats, every merc I've ever sat in has been real comfy.

Just another thought, if you want to keep it all holden you could try EJ-HR Premier they would only need the inner mounting holes drilled and re-enforced. Regards Jim

Hi Pinky I used Mitsubishi Colt in my FB very easy to fit and you can have the head rest removed before trimming if you wish I am going to have mine removable because i don't know about the new R.T.A. laws concerning this point BILLY

I'd need to confirm, but from what I gather, it's a similar rule to the seatbelt issue. If it didn't have headrests, it doesn't need to have headrests.

Yeah, the missus likes to sit in the middle with my arm around her. Once I mastered stearing, indicating AND change gears all with the right hand it's a pretty cool look...but I'm getting to old for that romantic crap.....need some space hahaha.
I guess if the impala shifter clears the bench once I fit it, the bench might stay.
