I have a bloke who can shorten a steering rack so I can rear mount on my HR front end. Thought I'd get some other opinions so I rang around. I've had a few steering mobs tell me just to shorten the ends instead of cutting the centre part. Wouldn't I run into some issues if the ends don't pivot in similar angle to the lower wishbone?
If I am running the VT discs then how much over all does it need to be shortened?
Thanks in advance.......

of course it will bump steer draw your self a picture  with a compass and think about it hence why you will get the bump steer.

Discs dont matter at all the rack mounts to the steering arm not the discs Grin

Stupid bump steer, Don't want that. It is just as I thought. Wonder why I was told by a steering mob just to shorten the ends?

Centreline of ack pivots need to be the same distance apart as the centreline of the lower wishbone bolts
