Hi all

Well I made the huge trip from Ipswich to the Gold Coast this morning. Unfortunately I could not take my FC, she is having a little brake problam at present, and I am still awaiting the arrival of some much needed parts.

Well back to the event at hand. Everyone met in the carpark accross from Isle of Palms at approx 0900h (9am). It was a great site to see so many Fe's & FC's in one gathering.

Then we  made a short journey to the RSL carpark to meet up with people who had stayed else where.

At about 1030h we departed and went on the morning cruise. I wish I had stuck myself somewere along the road to take some photo's as the parade of cars went past. It looked great from the rear watching them going around the corners one by one and weaving through the streets.

People stopped what they were doing to watch and wave. I think some people stopped to reminisce about the good old days. I know my mother inlaw does every time she sees my car. She tells me she has some great memories of those good old days. Wink Shocked

The trip took about 45 minutes and I think was enjoyed by all. Then the day was pretty casual affair. We play a few games, looked at and talked about cars. Then looked at more cars and talked about more cars. For lunch we had a sausage sizzle and talked about more cars.

After lunch we entered into a little interstate competition. Then as we do looked at and talked about more cars. At about 1400h (2pm) every one started to depart back to their hotels for some much needed rest prior to the evening festivities. About 6 or 7 cars participated in the 2 hour cruise which departed the show grounds at about 1430h (2:30pm) and that is when I departed and came home.

I will be out of bed early again in the morning and making that very long and boring trip. I will take my digital camera with me and take some photo's for you poor souls who can not be here with us.

Cheers Jim

Some people suggested we have this car out front on the cruise. I think it needed a coffin, white ribbon and some flowers. I think that would have made a great sight and would be in the easter spirit.

This was my favorite FC Special Sedan. I loved the colour, I think it should have got best paint. But I would not know S*$t from clay. It was immaculate.
