HI peoples
on my fe special i have there are holes on the top of the back wings for the chrome trim
that runs down to rear lights, but on all photos i have seen on fe specials that chrome trim was only on the fc.
so do you think someone has put it on later on in its life or was it an option extra on the fe special.
as i want to take her back to how it came of the production line i really need to know if i weld the 4mm holes up
or buy the trim i need.

cheers kris

Hi Kris, in the "Accessory of the Week" section, there is a picture of an after market Fin set to suit FE, these were occasionally fitted, although they are fairly rare.....and heavy as I recall, chrome over brass....see link below

It's more likely that someone has fitted FC fins for some misguided reason

Hey Kris.
It was fairly common in the day for FE owners to accessorise with these fins. (FC wannabes)
You are right regarding not being fitted on the production line for FE.
