Hi all, Has anybody used or know of the supplier in Victoria for front crossmembers based on Torana front end but modified to suit FE-HR. They're sort of a Pat Gardner type look alike. A number or name will be muchly appreciated. Thanks, Leigh

I have never heard of any besides the Hr conversions from CRS... Which from previous experience didn't rate.

I'm trying to get away from CRS. While their stuff is better than nothing, I'm getting a little tired of all the 6 point turns

they're not torana based they are just fabricateded front ends and up round the 4-5 grand mark, quite a few people lately have been modifying LH/LX/UC front ends to go into early holdens a mate just did one in his EH and he loves it

You can also use a power steering rack from a TF Ford Cortina in a LH/LX/UC front end which will fit and give you power steering. They are scarce on the ground though. They are about the only good thing on those cars.... Keith

Fink, That eh has been around along time. Was my mates and i remember coming home to find he cut the roof off because he wanted something different. We put the chev into it and he welded up the front and made it into a tilt front. Still have photos of the welded roof and tilt front. Bit of a story to it. He towed it to lilydale to have the screens cut and installed and coppers pulled us over and didnt know what to do. Let us take it to windscreen place and they came back later and placed unroadworthy sticker on it with "never to be registered". As the vin number was on the sub frame we got another and the rest is history. My step brother was doing the torana front ends into the early holdens. Not sure if he is still doing them. Will find out. I have one in my FC that is on this site under project cars "efi v8 fc again
Regards Brett
