Gday All
I need some advice on how to remove and refit the paint seperators (between taillights and bumper) on an FC sedan. How are they attached? Dont want to damage them while removing...
thanks jack

These chrome pieces have tabs that insert into slots, they then fold over the panel joint to hold them in place. Take a look in the boot below the taillights and you will see the tabs folded over. Be careful straightening then, as they sometimes break when folded too many times. Regards Alex

Thanks, Alex My car is at the painters; he rang asking if I knew how to remove them - bit hard to investigate when the car is nowhere near me! I'll ring him and pass on your much-appreciated advice. Regards jack

After straightening, gently tap from the rear. If you prise them from the front, they will possibly break off.

when you do straighten the tabs lightly tap them half way out then tap them back in do this a couple of times and it will loosen them up better
