Gday everyone,

My Partners Grandad recently passed away and during the cleanout of his farm some old paperwork for the purchase of an FC Holden in November 1958 was found.  Thank GOD my mother in law had enough sense to grab it all and save it for me!!!!!  The vultures were keen to swoop and throw it on ebay!

I will post some photos of what I found tomorrow, however in the mean time I thought I would start the search for anyone who might know something about this car.

The only identification I have of the car are the following numbers which are recorded on the 1000 and 2000 mile service coupons (obviously unused):

Serial Number:  8/21816/S
Engine Number:  L506761
Body Number:  119018
Key Number:  8182

Obviously assembled in Sydney around October 1958...........Does this car still exist?Huh  Or has it faded away to the car gods??

Also what does the Body number mean?  Have never seen a number like this on my car??

Any more information anyone could give would be very much appreciated, it would be amasing to actually track the car down.

Body number is 11901 S.   This in full would be FC 225 11901 S and lines up with the chassis number.
Unfortunately it is not on my database so chances are not looking good for it to still be around.

Thanks for the reply Ken really appreciate the help, looks like the miracle find is off the cards.

I have attached the warranty, service policy and 2000mile service coupon we found.  I also have the 1000 mile service coupon but looks very much the same as the 2000.

I also managed to get a bit of an upgrade on my OWNERS MANUAL too!!!!

The one I had is the tattered one on the left!!!!  The one we found (right) is in very nice condition!
