Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions about a cheap way of getting an EK ute door (fully stripped out so it would only weigh a few kg's) from Adelaide to Sydney.  The guy in Adelaide will take to any depo and I will do the same to pick it up in Sydney.  So far the quotes have been crazy, just about enough for me to drive to Adelaide and back myself.  Have tried Aus Post, normal frieght and backloads.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I got a set of mags sent from Blue Mountains to Adelaide and it cost about $60. I think the rates were $28 for 15kgs and a $6 pick-up fee.

Call McCafferty's Bus Freight, not sure of the number, directories will have it 1223.

just sent two monaro guards over to Perth via Mc Cafferties Busline .
cost under $100 cheapest freight By far .
all other quotes from truck companies and furniture removal companies Back loads were for $220 to $500.
just wrap in sheet of BuBBle wrap and take to Bus terminal for interstate Buses

G'day Nicko and Stinky

Thanks for the tip on McCaffertys, I got the door from Adelaide last week and it ended up costing $32, no damage whatsoever.  The quotes from traditional freight companies ranged from between $200 and $500 - need I say more?

Thanks again

thats a huge difference isn't it i had about same price variations for monaro guards but they were a little closer to $100 as they are nearly twice the size of a door
