Here's another photo I have of a custom FE, taken in 1960. It shows an FE with a continental style boot conversion and mini fins, done by Dale Fisher. these continental conversions was a trademark Fisher custom trick.

It looks like it might even have a flash kit on it. The lower section of the right quarter looks a lot darker.

Good pick-up.  I reckon it isn't a flash kit, but the secondary colour painted under the swage-line (as is sometimes the case with spats painted in the secondary colour).  Frank's FC is something like this:

Here's a pic sent to me by 4hammers. It is from an early Modern Motor. It seems to be the same car, and probably even taken in the same location, by the same photographer.
