Hi all after some information on FC door scratch pads,are they all the same or are back different to front,side to side different. If not the same whats the difference?

They are all different on the little tabs it has marked which door they are off.

i could be wrong but im pretty sure thats how they go

They are all different on the little tabs it has marked which door they are off.

Correct, Pete - they have tabs marking which door they are from... RF (right hand front), RR (right hand rear), LF (left hand front), LR (left hand rear).

There are two varieties of scratch plates (to my knowledge) -  one type has a frosted centre, the other is polished.

HI so if someone was stupid enough to buy four (not cheap !) and they are all marked LR that would make them (me) an idiot ? Does any know if they could be made to fit ?

I believe the a rear can be made to fit a front and visa versa, but not from side to side.
If it was ebay, you would have a case to go back to the seller if he listed them as a set and did not mention they were all the same.

Considering what you probably paid for them i would be asking the question .
But like others they probably didnt know.


Some one really liked left hand rear ones didnt they.
But still no help to you.

HI thanks for the replies.The seller on Ebay is giving me a full refund (said he noticed the LR on them but didnt know what it ment) Anyway lesson leanrt ,be carefull what you are buying do some homework first

Good outcome
I guess we will see a lot of LR scratch plates on e bay.


Still doesnt help you for scratch plates.

I found a couple at the last swap meet but like most they had the tabs broken from being ripped off.
