First one was shot earliest August '62 as there is a Loddon Green EJ in it. The third was probably '61, maybe 62. Love the BP sign with Bob Dyer on it.

Notice how many of the cars had stripe kits on them. I think these were more popular in QLD than anywhere else, a number of surviving FEs with Tilli kits came from there.

Great video and the cars and the scenery A1! The thing i find interesting especialy re QLD coastal areas is the high number of Austin,Morris etc. Granted there a lot of Holdens as well but in comparision to other states there are a lot of english cars, keeping in mind that it is a long period after WW11 and the Holden saturation and popularity are at their highest yet still a lot of english vehicles as we all know noticibly slower,smaller and underpowered than the Holdens and later Fords of the era.

Great footage, spent some time at the site, Brett, thats all there was around where I grew up, Holdens, pommy stuff, VW's.

Yeah, go the stripe kits, very flash!
