R_D,
Dynamat works really well.Have put it in my Kombi and does a great job.Best price I found was from Knox Auto Carpets.
Make sure you use Dynamat Extreme, priced about $235 for 3.6 sq m pack.
Best to make sure surfaces you attach it to are well sealed with something like por15 to keep moisture from seeping under Dynamat.

Hi John, Dynamat works really well... I would visit their website as I saw some new products at last years MotorEx Show. I used Extreme like EKute... lining the roof would make a HUGE difference to stop panel drumming. see here for some pics of Extreme installed. http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,7458.0.htmlCheers Ed

Just noticed that one of the no-name brands says about using a heat gun to help it ease into the shape you want. Can't comment on what they're like to install but the Dynamat was very pliable and easy to manipulate around and into odd shapes. I used used a rubber mallet as my "roller" in between applying "pressure" (read " smacking the bejeezus out of it") to make sure it bonded well! Just make sure no-one is under the car when you're applying "pressure" with the rubber mallet - John reckons his hearing is still suffering! I had fun though!

get a wallpaper roller to apply pressure.. they are about $5 from any hardware.
I also used a heatgun to make sure it would stick.
Did anybody notice the warnings on the Dynamat pack?
