Would anybody be able to help me identify what the part is that seems to be  missing from the rear on both sides of my fc sedan front bench seat. Also where I might be able to get such a part, thanks

Are you talking about the plastic covers ?

They are available from the Vic club or rarespares.  Not cheap, but look great.

Gary,

The photo seems to show the top of the trim piece - shaped and curved, but not tall enough.  It should reach to a fraction above the join of the red & black vinyl.  In addition, it wraps around the seat edge - both side and back.  It appears to be broken, and the piece across the back of the seat seems to me to be too wide.

This is what it should look like (this is r.h. side)

2 pieces - the vertical one which links into the horizontal piece (you can see where the join is) that goes along the bottom edge and wraps around the front corner of the seat.

Can't you have a look at a local member's car to compare what you've got with what you ought to have?

Gary, Is the piece on your seat made of metal? if so it has been swapped for an FB-EK Holden version which are shorter on the vertical than FE-FC

My seat support is unlike yous Zulu, mine is one piece upper and lower.
It is plastic with a chrome strip around the bottom section.
Thanks Martin, but the closest member to me is 2400ks away.

Looks like an FB EK surround to me - I've never seen a plastic one - only metal???
But I don't know much about FB EK.

I would suggest buying an FE FC surround set in order to fix your problem

Thanks Ken, looks like its back to rare spares online,,,again. Does make you wonder what went on for an fc seat to end up with an fb surround.

They are a good replacement cause they don't crack up like the FE FC plastic ones, only trouble is you would have to adjust / retrim your upholstery slightly to suit

Gary, the Vic club sell these for considerably less then Rare Spares. We have a deal with Rares as we purchased half the stock. $175 plus postage from us.
