Hello all,

Well after my initial post here http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,14736.msg88771.html#msg88771 12 months have passed, and yes I'm pretty slack on the updates  Grin

I thought I'd throw up the pics showing the change from orange to black.

Here goes, some strip down shots with Lily lending a hand....

Getting some primmer on........

And finally time for some PPG Black 30 (30% sheen).....Lily and Ben posing in front of "the black car"

Not too bad I thought for my first go at painting a car, but she is a good 10 footer ! any closer and you can pick the faults  Grin

We've moved house since the painting, and now she's in a smaller shed......fingers crossed it doesn't take another 12 months to get together - or post an update for that matter  Wink

Cheers,

Azz.

Good to see that you have made some progress Azz. It is always a good feeling when you have reached the point when you are no longer disassembling and cleaning, preparing for paint and actually turn the corner to the reassembly stage.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Hoodlining in.........

Front screen in.......

Rear screen in......

Exterior trims...........front spears glow because I used reflective red tape instead of paint.

Progress will holt for a while, we're going on holidays soon.

Azz,

Looking Good, the reflective tape on the front spears is a novel idea, I assume would have taken some time to cut in neatly.

Keep up the good work.

Hey Keith,
It does take time.....needs a steady hand and some patience. Hardest part is picking out the excess, because of the metal component it has no real elasticity and breaks up into tiny pieces. Pretty sweet effect though  Grin

I seriously can't believe it's been 7 months since my last progress update !

Good news though  Grin all bar a few odds and ends the project is now complete.

I'll probably rego her in Feb, just to keep further rego's away from Xmas.

Here's the pics, enjoy  Wink

Azz.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe Xmas - new year  Grin

Cool  Grin

I dig the white steering wheel.

What are those bullet thingies above the boot badge?

Funny you should ask, I was going to ask here. The bullets were in the boot when I got it but when I removed them there were two elongated holes, much like the ones in the top of the doors for the stainless trims.

I don't know what they're for but they look like factory holes ??

The boot lid would be from an EK Hydromatic. The Hydromatic badge goes there.
