i need about a extra foot longer choke cable, has anyone successfully fitted a new cable to a FE FC knob?

bonnet cable doesnt match wipers & headlights, i have new outer cables and inners and some standard fc chocke cables, just need to attach the longer cable to the FC knob

I used a wiper knob when I fitted the longer choke cable for my super charger.......FC427.....

dunno how long it will lat but i attached the cable to a choke knob by cutting a slot in the choke knob shaft and sticking in the cable then glueing it in with "knead it", dunno how long it will last.

That knead it is good stuff... we often use it to repair cracked engine cases out in the bush when somebody bins their bike.

I cut the choke cable knob off and then cut the bonnet cable knob off, then welded the shaft of the choke cable knob to the shaft of the bonnet cable, then filed it up and it worked a treat.
