    Hi All
There are a couple of convoys departing Adelaide and making thier way to Orange. All distances are an average from GPO to GPO and do not include pickup / meeting points.

The first group to leave currently plan to travel as follows: I would suggest contacting Kathy or Greg if you wish to join this group.

  • 1st Apr - Mildura to West Wylong 546 km (overnight)
  • 2nd Apr - West Wyalong - Orange 221 km

The second group will travel as follows: Contact me if you want to join this group.

  • 1st Apr - Adelaide to Hay 655 km (overnight)
  • 2st Apr - Hay to Orange 476 km

Cheers Jim

For accomodation in Hay follow the link below and mention that your part of the nationals convoy on your way to Orange and you may get a slightly cheaper rate.

Option one looks good to me, we'll be leaving a day earlier though.

We will be travelling in the second group and we'll meet you at Mt Barker interchange as I assume you are going via Pinnaroo from the distance you have quoted.

At this stage I will be heading over to nsw a few days early for the nats.

I've made the trip from adelaide over to wagga a few times with modern cars and we nearly always go via pinnaroo.  Its a bit shorter and often less traffic.

With an untested FC i'm thinking about going via the riverland for the nats.  I seem to remember there is more towns / mechanic shops etc via the riverland.

cheers
peter.

If your going on the Stuart Highway you'll end up in Darwin.

Suggest you turn right and follow the Sturt Highway.

Can't have you ex-Sand Gropers losing you way ..... but then again...  Grin

Martin,
Thanks, was trying to beat Surferboy for the longest distance travelled might have been a little hard to do in two days.
