G'day guys,

I am starting the rebuild of my new aquisition, a 1957 FE sedan. The old 3 speed has dropped out 1st gear and I have busted a few old crunch box's over the years but I do not want to modernise the vehicle too much. I will be reatining the grey motor, with a few tweaks of course but I want to use a impala style floor shifter. I am thinking of using the humble old aussie 3 speed. At least you can randomly get a speco floor shifter for them but I guess my big question is. Who makes a bell housing to suit? Or does anyone have one locally for me to buy. I am sure CRS would probably do one. Also, does anyone want to part with a 3 speed floor shift?

I'm off on a parts pilgrimage today, visit a few old mates and see what I can dredge up. Fingers crossed. Hope they are home, it's been a long time between visits.
